Did you know... this week, Qantas officially welcomed two of its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft into service across the Tasman. The new aircraft have been named in honour of New Zealand's pioneer aviatrix, Jean Batten and New Zealand-born engineer, Sir William Hudson.
By mid-October, the third B737-800 aircraft will be introduced on selected trans-Tasman services. All feature Marc Newson seating, and state-of-the-art, on-demand inflight entertainment with touch screen technology in every seat, in both cabins.

Terms and Conditions
You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions.
# Insurance is underwritten by QBE Insurance (International) Limited, (QBE) of Level 6, 29 Customs St West, PO Box 405 065, Auckland 1143, New Zealand. Qantas is an authorised agent of QBE and distributes the insurance on behalf of QBE and receives a commission for policies sold. Qantas does not and cannot provide any advice, opinion or recommendation about any insurance. Before deciding to take out any insurance you should read the Combined Product Disclosure Statement and policy wording for the insurance which is available at qantas.com/insurance. Frequent Flyers earn a standard one point per dollar spent on eligible policies when purchased through Qantas. From 24 September to 31 October 2009, you can earn double Frequent Flyer points on all eligible travel insurance policies for international travel from New Zealand. That means, during this limited time, you will earn two points per dollar spent. This offer is available to New Zealand residents only.
* oneworld benefits are available only to passengers on scheduled flights that are both marketed and operated by a oneworld member airline. ('Marketed' means that there must be a oneworld member airline's flight number on your ticket.) The 10% discount is included in the published base fares (surcharges, fees and taxes are not included in the 10% discount) of these oneworld fare products for ticketed sales between 26 August and 3 November 2009: oneworld Explorer, Circle Pacific, Circle Atlantic, Circle Trip Explorer, Circle Asia and South West Pacific and the oneworld Visit Passes. Flights can be booked a maximum of 11 months in advance of travel. If you make a change to the first flight segment after 3 November 2009, the 10% discount will no longer apply. For full conditions, visit oneworld.com/10years. ^ This offer cannot be combined with any other offer and Status credits are not earned on Award flight bookings. If an itinerary includes flights for travel before 25 February or after 31 December 2009, only the flights between 25 February and 31 December 2009 will qualify for this offer. Usually Status credits can only be earned on Jetstar Airways JetFlex or StarClass fares, but this offer extends Status credits at the discount Economy rate to all other Jetstar booking classes.
+ Classic Award seat availability referred to is at 22 September 2009. Availability will be reduced as seats are redeemed or seat inventory is reduced by the commercial sales of seats. Classic Award seats are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Some flights may not have any Classic Award seats available. Award flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (and other advance booking requirements may apply). Classic Award fare conditions apply and are provided during booking. Surcharges, fees and taxes are payable in addition to the Classic Award points required. Some special or sale fares may be available at lower points' levels than those quoted for Qantas Classic Awards. It may also be worth checking available Qantas and Jetstar Any Seat Awards, before you make a booking, depending on the proposed itinerary as points required for those Award flights differ from Qantas Classic Awards. See qantas.com for more information.
† All points prices include delivery charge. Store products are for delivery in New Zealand only. Store terms of use and Award and voucher terms and conditions apply. See qantas.com/store for details. Offers available while stocks last. The Qantas Frequent Flyer Store is operated and administered by Carlson Marketing Group (Aust) Pty Limited, ABN 96 003 848 922, trading as Carlson Leisure Travel Service. ~ Offers end 18 October 2009, while stocks last. |
